Obama’s New Scapegoat

A few weeks prior to the debt ceiling deadline, the leaders of both parties and President Obama had got so close on their agreed on numbers that both parties declared that the deal was almost finalized. Then, at the last minute, the President changed his offer by a huge amount and sent legislators from both parties scrambling.

Now, Obama’s new scapegoat (after President George Bush) is “the gridlock in Congress”. His new campaign ads bear this out. Here’s a crisis that was created by Obama’s political game playing and procrastination that he now wants to pin on conservative Americans who think balancing the national budget is a matter of national security and survival. Almost every liberal friend I have who voted for Obama is disgusted with his leadership… (or should I say lack of leadership?).

The Republicans in Congress are not Obama’s problem, he just wants us to think it is. Remember that the last time the US budget was balanced was with a Republican House of Representatives (Newt Gingrich, Speaker) and a Democrat President (Bill Clinton). Most Americans of both parties are waking up to the fact that our biggest problem in Washington is a lack of true leadership. – Jeff Burke

Runaway Debt Train

Imagine you are counseling with someone whose life has been wrecked through abusing credit card debt. He can no longer make his payments and the penalties and interest on interest are more than he will possibly earn in a lifetime. You look him in the eye and with a straight face you tell him, “Your only hope is to obtain more credit cards so you can keep up with your payments.” As absurd as that sounds, that is exactly what the liberal Democrats in Congress and our President are fighting for - more credit to deal with runaway debt !

Email the White House and Congress and tell them the borrowing and spending has to stop. News pundits say that if an agreement is not made, pandemonium will break out. If pandemonium is what it takes to get our house in order, so be it.

Obama Says War Vets Are Selfish

In response to Obama’s idea to make injured war veterans pay for their own injuries, the Commander-In-Chief said this: “Look, it’s an all volunteer force,” Obama complained. “Nobody made these guys go to war. They had to have known and accepted the risks. Now they whine about bearing the costs of their choice? It doesn’t compute..” “I thought these were people who were proud to sacrifice for their country, “Obama continued “I wasn’t asking for blood, just money. With the country facing the worst financial crisis in its history, I’d have thought that the patriotic thing to do would be to try to help reduce the nation’s deficit.. I guess I underestimated the selfishness of some of my fellow Americans.”

Rep. Weiner, Breaking News

An internet news reporter has recently made the observation that if you put a bow tie on Rep. Weiner, he looks exactly like Pee Wee Herman (Played by Actor, Paul Reubens). Pee Wee fans have long speculated what happened to the budding star following an indiscretion at a movie theatre several years ago. Fanning the flames of this new mystery was a recent press statement by Weiner when accused of being a liar and an unbalanced weirdo, he replied, “I know you are, but what am I?”

Weiner refuses to comment on the Pee Wee accusations, but the press continues to ask if this is really Pee Wee Herman in his new identity. Unrevealed sources say that last week, Weiner refused a DNA test to verify if he truly was Pee Wee in disguise. Fanning the flames of this conspiracy theory are the many former Pee Wee fans who have been puzzled by the disappearance of Pee Wee from public life.

We Don’t Believe It

I continually hear the President and others saying that the most powerful man in the free world has no influence over gasoline prices. For those of us who struggle with balancing the family budget and paying the equivalent of an extra house payment, we don’t believe it.

First of all, the President can make executive orders if the issue is important enough. This issue affects everything in the market – food, clothing, housing, construction, service industries, and energy. This is a matter of losing total control of the U.S. economy. It’s a matter of entire families going under and being in the streets this week. Social workers are seeing an alarming number of families with small children becoming homeless.

Secondly, the President has direct influence in drilling permits on national land, environmental issues, and national security. It’s common knowledge that the bulk of gasoline revenues find their way into the pockets of nations and leaders sympathetic to terrorism against the USA. In short, we are paying for our own hit man. The number one job of the president is to protect the American people.

It’s not that the president can’t … it’s that he doesn’t want to because in his world it is not a big enough emergency. Here’s a big emergency, Mr. President, you will never get re-elected with the country in the mess it’s in. So, please, no more propaganda. Tell us you don’t care enough or you don’t care at all. But don’t tell us you can’t …. we don’t believe it.

During Gingrich’s term as Speaker, Congress passed and President Bill Clinton signed the 1996 reform of welfare, a capital gains tax cut and the first balanced budget since 1969. His term also saw the monthly unemployment rate fall from 5.6% in 1995 to 4.2% in 1999, the creation of as many as 8.4 million new jobs and the lowest rate of growth in government spending (2.9%) in several decades. The 1996 budget deal represented the largest drop in discretionary spending since 1969.

Coincidence ?

Suddenly, within days of each other, several Mid-East countries started marching on their capitol cities. It’s really hard to believe that its random. It’s obvious to me that someone in the region is executing a well-planned scheme to topple several of the key nations for either religious reasons or personal.

All of this proves an important point. The Middle East can fight their own battles. If they get tired of a tyrant leader, they can organize and overthrow it. Their freedom is not dependent on the U.S. putting their young men in harm’s way. I propose that we get out of all the foreign countries, bring home our troops from Germany, Korea, Afghanistan, Iraq and wherever else they are found. If power vacuums develop and leadership shifts, so be it.

Lasting freedom can only come when a nation decides to make a change. They must have a strong national will to make a stand and we can’t do that for them. They are marching right now for change all over the Mid-East, and it’s no coincidence in my opinion. Let them chart their own future and let’s fix America first.

Irresponsible

I heard Timothy Geithner, Secretary of the Treasury, say on TV today that to impose a debt ceiling on the borrowing of our nation would be “irresponsible.” That ‘s hard to swallow when you consider that the U.S. Government is borrowing $188 million PER HOUR. Now, that’s irresponsible.

Maybe The Arabs Have A Good Idea

Across the mideast, people are fed up with their totalitarian dictators and have taken to marching in the streets. Frustration in the U.S. has reached an all time high and has turned into good old-fashioned disgust. It’s obvious to citizens of all political persuasions that the country is in trouble and it’s being led by a group of amateurs.

True Americans must make a strong stand to take our nation back. Compromises on debt ceilings are just more of the same stuff that got us where we are today. Voting conservative won’t be enough to make a difference. We have to volunteer for campaigns that take a firm stand on balancing the budget.

The ship is sinking and the cargo has to be thrown overboard just to give us a chance at survival. Bi-partisanship is a myth. My point is bolstered by images of democrats pushing through Obama-care in the dark of night with no GOP input. The Obamas jet set around the globe for photo ops while gasoline tops 4 to 5 dollars and the elderly and unemployed agonize over how to survive from day to day.

I’ve never marched for anything before, Mr. President, but you may just look out your window in the near future and see a lot of us disgusted Americans intent on taking their country back in your front yard.
